This is one of several sites of the 7 Days Battle. The park rangers are more than willing to give you the story. They also have great views and walking trails. The drive of the "ring" as it is well worth it to get your...More

This park is great for walking, jogging, or just a drive through to see history. I would give it excellent, but they don't permit bikes on the trails. Several longer loops off the road are great for a hike. Have a hat for the "may...More

Easy trails that are well marked and maintained. There are signs throughout that explain some of the history of the park. Seeing the trenches along the paths is definitely a somber moment.

Great place for civil war buffs!! You can tour by car or walk! Park rangers are friendly and are a wealth of knowledge. You'll find some local folks around the area that had relatives fight here and are gladly willing to share!

The Visitors Center is bare bones; you'll find a ranger inside and maps that show 3 different hiking paths. In season most would be shaded. We took the blue trail and found the placards and earthworks sobering. Eighteen hundred soldiers were killed or wounded over...More

We love walking the trails here even in the snow. Our dog is off leash trained and this has always been an awesome place to take her walking. Though slippery in many places we even enjoy walking here in the snow.
