I shared the experience with my grandsons who were studying history in school. It was great for them to be able to walk on the same battlefields as some of the historic people of whom they were reading.
This was the only thing my new husband wanted to see on our honeymoon. Stopped, power had been out the day before but it was back on. Spoke to the ranger at the small ranger station. Took the drive thru the battlefield and enjoyed “seeing”...More
I love to visit historical places when I am in the area. It is well marked and has plenty of information so that you can get a good idea of what was happening in the area. The surroundings are beautiful.
This National Park Battlefield has a small visitor center/shop with an electronic map to explain the battle and entrenchments. The grounds are well maintained. The walk is nice and the driving tour has 6 quick stops.

We walked the short tour thru the battle field and saw the trenches that were dug for protection over 160 years ago. First we listened to the video setting the background of the battle. The ranger was knowledgable and willing to share the information.
