As a man with a fetish for bridges, I made my boyfriend stop here on a recent trip and we kissed in the middle of the bridge on a sun dappled summer afternoon.

This bridge is lovely. Free of charge and less than a 1/4 mile off the main road. Easily found. It was definitely worth the quick stop for a photo op.

If you're looking for a quick scenic getaway - then head off highway 11 in the Shenandoah Valley to take in an old covered bridge that dates back to 1894! You will enjoy a majestic scene that will take you back in time!

What a blessing it is to experience this covered bridge. My grandchildren loved seeing inside the bridge & exploring around the bridge. This is a great place for pictures anytime of the year. We've done family pictures, senior pictures, before prom pictures, and more at the covered bridge. Don't forget to walk to the Shenandoah River und r the bridge... More

This is still a working bridge that you can pass through, or perhaps take a break near and visit the water below, or take in the view as you catch a snack at the picnic tables..if you plan your travels proper you can even enjoy some delicious RT 11 potato chips which are made right down the road :)

Found the bridge on the things to do in the Shenandoah Valley. Sitting about a half mile off the scenic drive through the valley we found this part of the past. The bridge is in fantastic condition and is 1 of 4 covered bridges still open to the public left in the state. Stand back and imagine days gone by... More

My wife and I took a leisurely drive over the mountains to the Shenandoah Valley to see this covered bridge. It is located on a country road with a small parking area on the east side of the bridge. The bridge has been beautifully restored and worth the drive. Combine your visit with stops in a number of small quaint... More

I try to stop by here when I drive through the area. It is usually very peaceful. The stream under the bridge isn't very wide, so you can move around the perimeter to get good shots. I would recommend mid October as a great time to get fall foliage shots.

If you're in the area, take the time to drive across the bridge. It was great for the kids to experience.
