Peaceful. One must hang around there. Morning walks are wonderful. The best part is that there are not much of religious activities or 'Karmkands" here on these ghats. No pandas.. no one to bother you. Go for boat rides. Sahastradhara must be visited. Boats take you there. Not expensive.

This is India! There is a small Shiva Temple at the west end of the ghat. Chanting and drumming begin at about 5 PM. Local people gather, chant and pray. You can get the Shiva mark on your brow if you like, for a 10 INR donation. Just sit and experience the scene!

Very clean. Spic n span. It's overlooking the rajah's palace and the royal temple so upkeep is great. Avoid on a Holiday and sun days when locals throng the temple n ghat. Boating is great for the laid back romantic folks.

Visit to Ahilyadevi Ghats at Maheshwar is an divine experience. Huge River Narmada coupled with beautifully built ghat would compel you to stay back for a spiritual peaceful bath.

One of the most serene and less crowded ghats in India. Go to enjoy a tranquil sunset over the river Narmada.
