Laxman Jhulla is an iron suspension bridge across the river Ganges. Pedestrian bridge but also used by two wheelers. It was crowded when visited. Be careful of monkeys as they might snatch your things!

A famous old suspension bridge which sways when you walk over it. Is crowded and narrow. Also a new Ram jhoola /bridge , similar to this, has been built and nearer to main city

An extension bridge connecting the two banks of river. Busy bridge with locals crossing two and fro. You can see rafters below in the water. Cows crossing freely. The sun was setting at the time we went. An experience of a lifetime.

It is a interesting bridge which had no pullers hanging from two ends on the holy river Ganga. You can feel vibration on moving and see the flow, roaring water, speedy airflow, mountain view all from here.

In October November badrinath doors will be closed by then. Howrah exp. runs daily from Kolkata to haridwar. You can still visit Haridwar, Rishikesh, Mussoorie and other nearby places.
