Visiting the botanical park is a nice way to spend some time relaxing when on a busy vacation schedule. The grounds are immaculate and it is very quiet. The boardwalk in the tree walk is in disrepair so you must watch your step. I am glad we spent time here and in the hilltop town once ruled by the British.

If you need a day to relax, read, take a walk, take a beautiful walk, have a nice lunch, or learn some history, this is the place. If you are not from the country there is an entrance fee. You can also take a tram ride to see the place first and then decide how you want to spend your... More

Went to the botanical garden today for a few hours. There were a lot of different varieties of flowers. A good place to walk. The cafe was closed for renovation.

This is the iconic attraction in Pyin Oo Lwin, a 'heritage garden' established by the British Colonial, and is continuously maintained by the local government. The seasonal flower beds are always attractive, but the locals like to blast loud music and organise noisy event at the grassland. It is spoiling the atmosphere. I have been there many times. A little... More

This is a large park surrounding a nice lake complete with swans & an endangered species of duck. The gardens are so popular even midweek with locals, visitors from Mandalay & also foreign visitors. These are true Botanical Gardens offering many attractions. Apart from the beautiful seasonal flower beds with different flowers there are many trees, a bamboo forest, &... More

Not far from the centre of town. Much better than I imagined. Beautiful gardens and lake. Very tranquil and so much to see.

What a little gem! We never expected to enjoy this as much as we did - but it was a really beautiful place to relax and walk around. There is a restaurant here in the middle of the gardens, which we really wished we had known about as it looked very good

The Botanical Gardens are outstanding - a real 'must', at least in February. Beautifully tended and tidy, the huge area allows it to feel uncrowded although there were, encouragingly, quite a number of local visitors. The orchid gardens and butterfly collection should also not be missed. A hotel overlooking the lake would be a good option - otherwise a 1... More

Basically one of the only things worth doing in Pyin Oo Lwin. Take a few hours to walk around this big park. It offers all kinds of trees, plants, animals and water. Well maintained and more than worth the ticket price of around 6,750 Kyat. Tip: the butterfly museum is just a collection of pinned up dead butterflies. I hoped... More

The entrance fee is 5 dollars (6500 kyats). There are lot of flowers so the garden is colorful. Pretty quiet so that it the perfect place to lay down and read some books, gazing the views. And the tower inside the garden is a must visit.
