We were surprise to see this cathedral with the facility of an elevator for the seniors. The place can hold two masses simultaneously at the ground level and at the second floor. The locals flock to the place to hear mass and pray. We attended the mass at the second floor with all the welcoming smiles of the locals. The... More

I go to this church since I was little and it has a great connection to me. it might not be the fanciest but it is indeed one that I treasure. For tourist or first time visitors in Zamboanga, the church is a great place to visit to offer your prepares and meditation.

Church is so big. They have smaller one on the first floor and the big one on the second floor. Nice exteriors. Bought one religious bracelet.

The Metropolitan Cathedral is an architectural spectacle in a city where Christians and Muslims live in peace and harmony. While it is located in the busy downtown area, the place is always solemn and a perfect place to pray and reflect. Its famous church bells also make pleasant, melodious chimes. This huge, two-storey church holds daily masses.

What a unique building for a church!.. its like a mall...modern and 2 storey...but what is captivating are the church bells...2 or 3 bells...its been a long time since I heard church bells ringing... there is also a huge statue of Mama Mary and a little garden for Sy Francis..

With its unique design, you can easily distinguish this structure even you are still up in the sky. A good place to pray also.
