If you look beyond the argument as tk whether or not elephants should be used as a tourist attractions, this place is the best. We saw other places where the elephants were in large metal sheds near the road. Here they live in the woodland...More

We wanted to go swimming and riding elephants in the Elephant Island (Koh Chang) and selected this place. You will have to follow 20 other elephants on a fixed route, and the swimming part was not at all what we expected. Two elephants and some...More

The animals were mistreated when they were young, in order you can ride them. They're still suffering from the traumatizing experience they had when young. Just think about it.

Definitely take the 2 hour tour. Includes 1 hour riding, feeding some bananas and bathing with the elephants. Some drinks and fruits are free of charge. Personnel is very nice.

Local staff is very unfriendly, animals are not treated well and the trip is too expensive. Don't go there. It is not worth the money and this kind of animal treatment should not be supported.

Elephant sanctuary that takes care of threatened elephants from mainland thailand, definitely the best and most ethical camp on the island. Some of the coments here suggesting that elephants should allowed to live here chain free are naive beyond belief.

You know what happens to those Elephants when there are no Sanctuaries? They will be killed cause no one can afford to pay for them! Call it a necessary evil. But there is no more natural place where they can live freely... More
