Stunning scenery: greenery on the water, on the land, on the islands. Monkeys on a private island was a treat. The homes are stunning and surprisingly modern-looking.

A highlight of my trip was kayaking thru the Islets. Our B&B arranged the tour. I was picked up and taken to where we launched the kayaks. My guide was knowledgeable about the area and we went thru areas that a boat could not. We...More

Lots of bird life. Feed the wild monkeys and enjoy the scenery. Wonderful nature and relaxing boat trip.

Try to go for the whole day to one of the resorts. It’s lovely to swim in the lake here and the vegetation is lush. Great way to get away from noisy Granada.

We took a carriage ride and the driver offered to take to catch a boat to Islets of Granada. It was a great experience. It was a tour for adults, but my children loved it. The tour guide spoke English and was very knowledgeable about...More

We chose not to take a tour but do thus ourselves. So easy just drive from Granda along the lake where there are lots of boats for hire. We had a boat to ourselves and it was majestic. There's a tiny island with monkeys, lots...More

Nice tour of the islets with a guide to point out prominent owners and history. Had lunch on one of the islands before returning ashore.

Having been to Las Isletas a few years ago, we wanted to go back as we had enjoyed it so much the first time. We booked through our hotel and our guide was great. It is well worth a visit (2 /3 hours) as it...More

Could’ve done a group tour with guide for $100, or a private boat without guide for $50, but opted for private boat with guide for $140. Totally not worth it. Guide was very nice, but was only able to point at a few houses and...More

The Islets were a nice way to spend a few hours while staying in Granada. We walked to the launch area and negotiated with a couple boat captains directly to fit our timing and interests (knowing some Spanish definitely helped!). It was a fun way...More

You should be able to negotiate a tour of any length. The guides seem more than happy to make a little more money.

You bring US. You can change your money at the bank or exchange from street corner vendors, they're pretty much at the same rate as banks. ATM's will give out one or the other, local or US.
