We did a three hour kayak tour of the islets, and loved it. Could have done with a bit more information/background, but it was lovely to just enjoy the beautiful surroundings and spot the bats and adorable monkeys! Remember your sunscreen!!

I really enjoyed this boat trip in the lake in front of Granada. A bit of everything: great views of volcanos, boat trip, bird life, wild monkeys, beautiful islets with typical local houses... a good use of half a day

This was a 90 minute excursion from our hotel. Nice getting out on the lake. The houses, in some cases mansions, on each of the islands were interesting to see and hear about. The monkey island was fun. Worth doing when in Granada.

This was basically a nice tour on kayaks, of islands with big fancy houses on them, and our guide telling us how much they all cost. Not really what I was looking for. The monkey island has 3 monkeys on it. I was hoping more...More

This is a great view from a kayak. I recommend to this kayak trip instead of taking the boat tour. The kayak tour is with a guide which tells you about the island, help you feeding monkeys and show you the animal life around the...More

We went here on tour of Nicaragua. It was an organised boat trip on Lake Nicaragua which looks like an open sea and what a view. The Isles are interesting to see where there are holiday homes and monkeys. If you get a good tour...More

You should be able to negotiate a tour of any length. The guides seem more than happy to make a little more money.

You bring US. You can change your money at the bank or exchange from street corner vendors, they're pretty much at the same rate as banks. ATM's will give out one or the other, local or US.
