Took an afternoon stroll around these beautiful gardens with our tour guide Céline who was knowledgeable, spoke at a good pace (which was good for my level of french) and answered our questions on route, in English! Much appreciated :)
The gardens are really interesting,...More
We thought this would be yet another old garden, but were surprised and delighted to find they were designed in 1996 (by landscape architect Kathryn Gustafson and architect Ian Ritchie). This is a very modern garden. It is full of interest; if you enjoy designing...More
A lovely garden but I cannot see why they only offer guided tours. The garden is suitable for visitors to follow the paths on their own and with good descriptions no guide is needed. They could learn a lot from Manor d'Eyrignac.

Beware - this place although relatively modern is totally unsuited to disabled access alas. The tickets have to be purchased at a building in a nearby town square and then you have to wait outside for a guide to come. There is then quite a...More
error 1! going here with kids who thought (because we thought!) we could explore gorgeous gardens and fountains on our own

This is worth a visit. You would miss so much if you did not have the guided tour. How this place has been transformed and the explanations are very interesting. Great views looking over the old and new town. The water feature is the best,...More
A visit to these gardens is more than just looking at pretty flowers. Art, architecture and gardening are combined to make these gardens fantastic. The gardens are terraced and there is a beautiful view of the city from the top. The integration of falling water,...More
Like others, we would have liked to have the chance to wander without a guide. The tour was interesting but the interpretation was the imagination of the designers rather than ours. Nevertheless, it was worth going as there are many lovely features, particularly those involving...More
