What a contrast! Our 12pm tour was of the cave; where French and English speakers were accommodated by a very nice guide. He was humorous and helpful. The caves were magnificent. At 2.00pm we were met by a less than accommodating guide for our Templar...More

I would suggest the train from St Pancreas to Lyon and pick up a rental car from there - and maybe somewhere a bit more central like Sarlat than Domme as a place to be based. Hope you have a great trip - we certainly did... More

Sorry I don't have an answer to that.Perhaps the tourism office can help. They had plenty of books on the history of the area.
