I was on a bus tour and we visited these gardens. I was under the impression that we were visiting them for their appeal as gardens. They are very nice however you would get more out of them as a fan of the writer rather...More

Thank you for your message. We're a bit sad that you didn't totally experience the concept of our gardens. However, we're glad to see that you spend a nice time by visiting them on a guided tour. Have a nice day !

On our long journeys through France, we look for places - often gardens - to stop and relax for an hour or two before getting back on the road. Les Jardins de Colette was a perfect stop, just off the A20 at Brive-la-Gaillarde, in the...More

We visited mid September and had a very pleasant morning. As National Trust members in the UK the experience was a little different but non the less enjoyable. This is a great place for children and the maze in particular is fun.

A beautiful garden in which to walk around, great maze, season events, possibility to bring in a picnic. And it's even better if you know anything of the author Colette!

These gardens, which are based on 5 areas of France where Colette lived are a delight. We didn't have time to try the labyrinth, but from a vantage point above it we could see that this is clearly a wonderful place to take children.

Wander round and look at plants and shrubs. Personally? I'd rather wander round the abundant woodland of Correze and see what's real for free. :-)More
