You can just wander in here - there is no admission fee and it was quite peaceful, despite many people walking around the citadel. There wasn't much information on its history and the whole experience was a little disappointing.

great views, lit up beautifully at night, some interesting displays inside and free entry - was very impressed with our visit here and very much enjoyed walking round the citadel.

A really nice view on the bay and Fort Boyard. A nice walk when the weather doesn't allowed to go to the beach !

Kids loved the place. They could run, climb and jump all they wanted. The view is nice and the fortress well conserved. Fort Boyard could be seen with binoculars.
