If you are in Saint Martin de Re have a look at this market. It seems to open every day and although not huge there are plenty of stall. Good hens, fresh fish and meat and plenty of excellent vegetables. Yes it is more expensive...More

I really enjoy the market - produce is always fresh and even the ready meal dishes are stunning! Go for local cheese and oysters - just wonderful!

Many of the French reviews are correct, the prices are huge at many of these traders, but for we British, the market experience is something that is mostly lost in the UK, and therefore this is a charming pass time. I must give one LOUD...More
