Used to be an enormous Gothic church for such a small island. The bell tower was closed, maybe too early in the morning? Particularly liked the window in the chapel of the mariners.

The church itself is impressively decorated, given its turbulent history. The view from the top of the tower involves some seemingly rickety stairs, but the views from the top are spectacular.

Pretty little church which you can see from the harbour, but is tucked away behind the shopping area. Quiet, pretty interior. Interesting art display on the approach. Worth a walk up the hill.

Most people who visit the church do so to climb its bell tower and take in the views. The church itself is simply decorated apart for its ornate altars. At the back of the church is a large memorial. I didn't notice any information so...More
