Although this village does not have direct access to the slopes in my opinion has far more character than the purpose built Meribel. It is a charming alpine village with lovely views. Not a place for the thrill seekers but quiet and restful after a long day on the slopes or walking in the mountains.

We have stayed twice in this pretty village. There are bars, restaurants, supermarket and ski shop. The gondola transports you to Meribel centre in approx. 7 mins. In the evening, a taxi would take you to the centre. There are several catered chalets in the village.

A slightly quieter alternative to Meribel but with good bars and eating within walking distance of the whole village. Good shop for the self caterer, excellent, regular free bus to Meribel and free ski lift to Meribel or down to Brides les Bains a short walk away. Great base for the 3 valleys.

Lots of easy (blue / red runs) and not too crowded. Ideal spot for family skiing with good restaurants.

Les Allues is a quiet village in the 3 Valleys ski region. It is a 20 to 25 minute walk/bus (bus stop 50m from the accommodation) or walk/bubble (lift station 300m from accommodation) to Meribel. We opted to store our boots and ski's in the public lockers in Meribel which worked well. Although I would recommend lockers at the rear... More

We skied the 3 Valleys during mid-January 2017 after it snowed the weekend we arrived and then not again for the following 12 days. We prefer Black runs and Red runs with moguls. Given the snow conditions described above, we used the slopes in the Meribel valley almost exclusively to get to or from the valleys on either side. Initially... More

Recently stayed in a catered chalet only 50 metres from the Olympe gondola lift close to the centre of Les Allues. This village is very quant and the slopes of Meribel are easily reached by a 10 min journey on the gondola. There is a fabulous little restaurant at the top of the village next to the ski hire shop.... More

Stayed here in Feb 2016 @ Chalet Blu. Very nice unit. There were 8 or 9 of us and room enough for all. Clean and nice amenities. A bit of a walk to the bus loop, but manageable if you keep your skis at the hill lockers. Found it was like going to the family cottage. Would do this again.... More

We stayed here in a Snowchateaux chalet, in April 2016. Granted it was the end of the skiing season, but next time I'd choose somewhere else. The chalet itself, and our hosts, were lovely, but: 1. From most places in Les Allues you'll have a 10 to 15 minutes walk (uphill either on the way out or on the way... More

Les Allues is a pretty, small, French village, retaining lots of charm. There are good restaurants, ski hire shop and supermarket. All the chalets are low level, constructed of wood / stone and within 5 minutes walk of the Olympic bubble which takes you to Meribel Centre or down to Brides Les Bains. There is also a free bus service... More
