Wonderful!

This is a wonderful place to hike, run, or just take a picnic lunch. It's shady and has nice water views.

Love the Nolan Trail. Best hiking spot in Newport News. Trail is great for walkers, runners and dog walkers.

Short walk, long walk or even a run - a great place to do it all. Bring your dog, bring your children - something for everyone. You can tailor your experience to what you want. The whole trail is 5 miles, but if you have small children or just want a shorter walk you can do that. It's a beautiful... More

Either walk or run this is a great place to exercise. You can enjoy the outdoors in all seasons, plenty of wildlife to observe.

Great trail for a solo walk. Generally there are very few other people using the trail during the colder months. Very relaxing.

This beautiful trail offers a wonderful experience through the woods and along the water. The trail is long but has a few expedited versions when you are low on time. It's conveniently located near the Mariners Museum, Fine Arts museum, and the Lion's Bridge. This is also a great place for dogs. There are plenty of open fields where you... More

We walked through all 5 miles of this beautiful trail in early December while visiting VA. The scenic views along the trail are impressive with 14 bridges on Lake Maury and several beautiful overlooks. We entered the trail next to the parking lot of the Mariners’ Museum where we parked our car. Entrance to the trail and parking @ the... More

I've been here twice.. The first time we brought the dogs so we walked about 1.5 miles in, then walked back to the car. The second time we walked the full 5 miler loop. It's a nice enjoyable walk... Definitely wouldn't recommend strollers or wheelchairs though. There are lots of roots, but they are all marked with orange.
