Definitely one of the best attractions on the island. I'm a keen gardener and could only be stunned by these gardens. Try and see the video film if you can, it gives a good insight into the original owners. We spent 4 hours here and...More

What a lovely garden we had such a great visit. Some wonderful plants, fountains and pathways leading ever upwards to the most fabulous view over Forio and the sea. Well worth a visit.

The trouble and care that has gone into planning this garden is amazing. It is a wonderful haven. There are lots of secluded spots to sit and admire the view. It is a photographer's delight.

We enjoyed half a day here, taking in the gardens and an afternoon concert indoors. We found an amazing viewing spot high on the hill, with views across to Forio.

Yes, I agree with all the people above: we recommend to visitors to allow half a day. It is enough to visit the garden, stroll at leisure, enjoy the view, watch the video in the museum and even stop for a coffee. Unless of... More

How far is la Mortella from porto dischia?
29 May 2015|
Response from Alessandra V | Property representative |
It is about 11 km; it takes 20 mins by car or taxi, or you can take a bus heading to Forio (40 mins) and ask the bus driver to stop at Cavallaro/La Mortella. From the bus stop it is 5 mins walk.
