A church well worth seeing, for both 18th century paintings, beautiful marble work and history. A high altar that has not been wrecked by Vatican 2.

We walked up to the church through the side streets of Levanto and discovered many interesting places on the way . The church is most unusual both inside and outside. The view of the town from the church encourages you to take many pictures .

A Beautiful little Church overlooking the town which began in 1222 and with several changes sits snugly today ! The combination of White Marble & Green Serpentine looks and works a treat and the bell tower can be seen all over Levanto.

Very beautiful use of the green(black) stone and white throughout the church. There's a particularly lovely modern sculpture of a local fisherman inside, plus all the usual traditional church art and architecture.

My wife and I were amazed at the level of embellishment, art, statuary and overall design for a church located in such a small village. Definitely worth the visit.

An early morning walk through the atmospheric streets of Levanto saw us arrive at Chiesa Di Andrea. One just walks into the cavernous church with huge old works of art adorning the walls. Nice to sit in the cool and appreciate one's surroundings. Full credit...More

This church is listed on one of the five suggested walks in Levanto. Because of the stripes, it can be seen from most of the town. The walk up to the church was fairly easy and worth the 20 or so minutes it took us....More

Enjoyed walking to the church, it's on the way up to the castle (that a disappointment). It was open and cool. Nothing spectacular but nice to just sit down, think about how lucky we are and relax. Using the two different types of stone to...More

A nice church. Built in 1222 and consecrated in 1463. Made from Carrara white marble and local green serpentine which gives it an unusual striped appearance. Look for the zoomorphic elements.
