Visitors to this romantic estate have agreed the trip was well worth it: the family is warm and hospitable, the grounds are ruggedly romantic and the wines are impressive.

We loved this experience! The grounds are beautiful, and filled with lots of interesting history. Our tour had about 12 people on it -- it was easy to ask questions and see everything. We opted for the "light snack" tour, and were shocked with how...More

Our family of 10 had the best time here! You have to go! The location is gorgeous and the tour is so interesting...but the best part is the incredible lunch. SO MUCH FOOD! This was a highlight of our trip.

Your experience at the winery begins with a tour of the bottling area and seeing the cooler areas for storing the casks of wine. It is fascinating to see how it is all done. We were amazed to see the stores of very old bottles...More

Our family of 20 people with teenagers booked the Wine and Food Experience. It started with a garden and cellar tour with our crazy guide, Neri. Then we had wine tasting and lunch. Great food and wine! Now we have a problem because our favorite...More

Great location for a winery nestled in a beautiful valley at the top of a hill near Greve in Chianti. The drive to/from Castello di Verrazzano was awesome with majestic rolling hills of vineyards and farm lands. Our host for our wine tasting tour, Ciara,...More

Castello di Verrazzano is up a valley and near the top a hill near Greve in Chianti. The view is inspiring. Around the site are vineyards and forests. In May during our visit, the vines were being attended to. Nearer in, is the Castello and...More

We went on Cantine Aperti day and had a super guide who explained the fantastic history of the Castello. Sampled just a few of the wines and had a light lunch being presented with a focaccia of enormous and fresh proportions. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited on recommendations of a friend, weren't sure what it would be like. Our tour was sort of wine-making basics (as opposed to just a tasting like you might have in California), experts may get less out of it. Tour through the various rooms and...More

We are planning on visiting next week on our drive from Florence to our agriturismo near Siena, but I am not sure what time. Can we arrive without a reservation for a tour and tasting?

I think you will need a reservation for a tour. I would recommend contacting them.
Hi, How could we reach from Florance to Castello di Verrazzano by using public transport and return? How long does it takes? Sorry for asking this again, but I just want to confirm as the earlier question was asked over a year ago. Also, is it mandatory to book prior appointment?

There is a bus, 365A that would take you to Greti Distilleria, which is a point near the bottom of the access road to the Castle on SR222. From there you would have to walk on SR222, a busy road with no shoulder, for about... More
