It wasn't only the nearest beach where we stayed but also the nicest we have visited on Madeira. The view was stuning. The restaurant which is located on the beach offers wide spectrum of food and drink for decent prices. There are good enough toilets...More

spent the loveliest afternoon on this big rocky beach - make sure you bring appropriate shoes. The cable car down and up was super.

We came here to explore Madeira's underwater world with a snorkel. The water was nice and clear, but water shoes were required. We were even able to spot a barracuda and an octopus very close to the cliffs! Therefore, we can highly recommend this place....More

A beautiful, calm beach. Amazing view of Funchal and "frightening" rock above us, far from the noise. Comfortable cablecar. Accessible showers and a changing room. Take a book ang just go there. In April you can easily swim in the ocean

Live this little beach in Madeira. You can reach it by taking the cable cars from the cristo rei statue, by walking down the steep and windy road or by taking the car until the gates then walking the rest of the way. Personally this...More

To get to the beach you can either walk down the winding road, dive and "try" and park or simply head down on the cable car. A nice pebble stone beach with clean water.
