The MacArthur Memorial is a must visit destination. you will learn so much more than what is routinely taught elementary or high school. The memorial has so much to see, and the architecture of the memorial is also quite amazing. Norfolk has so much to see and the MacArthur Memorial needs to be one of your destinations. A great place... More

My husband enjoys history, especially the WWII era. I must admit, I enjoyed the museum as well. Lots of information available, and the displays guide the visitor easily through the museum.

As a World War Two buff, I loved it. Thousands of artifacts relating to MacArthur and his tours of duty......even the gun and bullet used by Tojo when he attempted to kill himself....to avoid judgement. Lot's of nice oriental artworks from the era.....uniforms from the era....and weapons of the era. There is even a deck plate from the signing of... More

I enjoyed exploring the MacArthur Memorial . Outside is very pretty with its landscaping. Inside the memorial with its artifacts of his career is a history lesson in itself.

Everyone enjoyed it. Each child had to interact with the WWI display periscope. Gift shop is worth a stop. I have visited many gift shops, but this one had postcards for Desert Storm / Shield. We arrived via train too early. Following the cannonball trail to St. Paul's was just right and "very cool"!

This museum has a great collection and presentation of one of the greatest Generals that has ever lived. The museum chronicles his life in a very logical manner. Interactive and educational, a must see and a quick walk across the street from the MacArthur Mall.
