My daughter was in town....so we decided to tour some sites in Norfolk. The Wisconsin has always been on my list....since my Father served on a ship during the Korean war period. To tour the Wisconsin you have to buy admission to Nauticus...that runs about $36 per person for the guided tour....about $27 per person for the self guided tour.... More

Went to Nauticus over the holiday weekend and included the guided tour of USS Wisconsin as part of my tour. Well worth the extra money as my tour guide was a former crew member of the ship. Captain (ret) Matt Pommer gave an excellent and entertaining tour. He fully engages everyone on the tour and even though it is a... More

The whole family enjoyed our visit and tour. We couldn't believe how much of the ship you could actually explore.

Took the guided tour with my 8 and 9 year old sons. Our guides Matt and Evan couldn't have been nicer or more informative. We learned at the end that Matt actually served on USS Whisky during Desert Storm. His first hand knowledge and experience was priceless. So glad I was able to enjoy and experience this with my family.

When we went to the Wisconsin we enjoyed the entire few hours we were there. We took the guided tour of the Wisconsin itself which included the deck and parts of the inside of the ship. At the time we were there, our guide was a retired member of the crew at one time. The tour was awe inspiring to... More

From the time one enters Nautica until one gets to board the actual ship, it's a long, long walk. Granted they spared no expense and there are tons of exhibits, movies, experiments, kid stuff to do and the ship museum packed with fun facts and things of interest, I was pretty worn out before we got to the ship! If... More

The USS Wisconsin is a very nicely restored battleship. I would like to see her fire a full broadside salvo. A few years ago I saw her sister ship the USS New Jersey. Two down and two to go. The USS Iowa and the USS Missouri.

Amazing ship. Tour is great, helpful tour guides on the boat, but also you can walk around by yourself and check everything out.

The dedicated paid and volunteer staff really care about this old Battleship. One of 4 Iowa Class battleshipsthe Wisconsin has seen action in the Pacific after its 1944 commissioning and again later in Korea. Decommissioned in 1957, she was mothballed until the 1980s. The boatswain pipes a different announcement every hour. Semi Private tours of the quarter deck, and engine... More
