Taylor’s, accepted by most wine authorities to be the greatest of all port shippers, invites you to a pleasant and informative tour of its famous lodges at Vila Nova de Gaia. During the tour the visitor will be given the opportunity to learn about the fascinating history of Port wine, as well as that of the House of Taylor Fladgate making it one of the oldest Port companies.

We wanted to try one of the Port houses and selected this one as it did not require reservations. It was somewhat of a long walk to get there just even counting from the Vila Nova de Gaia side of the bridge, sometimes felt like...More

I loved this tour of Taylors. It's certainly worth the small walk up the hill. It's self guided so you don't have to rush. The tasting at the end was very welcome and the staff was really friendly and helpful.

Don’t let the climb up the hill put you off. Taylor’s has an impressive cellar, interesting museum and great tastings. Entrance costs around 12 Euros including two tasters and they’re not shy about the serving sizes.

Must go if you stay in Porto. Forget the noisy, fuzzy wine shop and restaurant along the river. Go a bit further you will have lovely wine tour and wine tasting of the best winery!

We wandered around the town, climbing numerous steep hills once we crossed the river. We didn't have a particular destination in mind and when we got to the Taylor port wine lodge we decided to take a chance and go inside. The outside of this...More

We thoroughly enjoyed this self-guided tour which was extremely informative and enjoyable. We had lunch afterwards, the dining room and outside tables have a beautiful view of Porto and the river. Food was fantastic, although a little pricey, but well worth it as a treat.

Hello, We didn't book in advance, we just turned up and it was pretty quiet (about 3pm on a weekday). The tour is by audio guide and that's included in the price, provided to you when you pay.

Not a problem. Tours are quite frequent in English given by a very enthusiastic guide. Enjoy a glass whilst waiting for the next tour.
