Went here with our guide in frigiliana. Plenty of the history of frigiliana and well worth a visit when you are there.

Small museum, worth a visit.

The small Archaeological Museum is located in a wonderfully restored building in central Frigiliana, which also accommodates the municipal library, exhibition halls and tourist office.
The museum itself shows the history of Frigliana.
Although it's rather small, it's worth a (short) visit.
Admission is free.

The archeological museum is situated in the modernised Casa del Apero building just up from the bus/taxi area and also houses tourist office and library. It’s not well signposted and we came across it totally by accident. Museum occupies the right half of the ground floor and is quite dark with exhibits spread out along two corridors. Due to the lack of light it was difficult to clearly see displays or read information panels - to be honest, those I could read were confusing as I wasn’t always sure to what they were referring i.e. I would liked to have known more about the Egyptian “jewel” and it was also confusing to work out where exactly the amulet was exhibited.

I didn’t realise until after we left that there’s a roof terrace with lovely views towards the old town - you would have thought there would have been a sign?

Considering how new the museum looks, it’s just a pity more thought wasn’t put into layout, presentation and lighting.

Great view to the Old Village

In this museum, you can see some findings from the Frigiliana’s history. Not so many items. And once again all the texts are in so small font that it is almost impossible to read them. Good idea to climb to the highest viewing point on the roof. There you can take great photos of the Frigiliana old Village.

Nice to have a walk round. Small art exhibition and library. Great views from courtyard. Incorporate the information centre.

We just stepped into the wrong alley and 'voila'~! We found this place. Being a small archeological museum, they offer the best view-point in town. Actually, they say this town is the most beautiful place in Spain and I became to agree. You can enjoy a perfect view of Frigiliana from this place.
