you cannot visit it, it is not particularly pretty but I suppose it is part of the village history so take a photo.

A great looking building but sadly under used for such a prominent location. The sun dial on it would be great with a little TLC. Worth a look but could be so much better.

A major landmark in the area that dominates the plaza. It used to be the main centre for producing sugar cane molasses in Europe but now derelict apart from souvenir shops and a cafe that has moved from around the rear of the building. Stands...More

The drive from Nerja was very quick and just as quickly we found ourselves looking out from above it all. The hillside perched homes are very close together and beautiful. The view from the square is fantastic.

This is a great place to visit though in January it is quieter than in high season. You can learn about the town, enjoy the stunning vista and have a coffee.

I came across this cafe by accident and was delighted. It was the first place I had come across that advertised it served decaf coffee!! There were tables outside to sit at and the waiter was most courteous. The cup had seen better days but...More

This building stands out from the rest of the buildings in Frigiliana because it's not painted white. Apparently there's a lot of history behind it but I don't know enough to comment, however there a few hand crafts shops on the ground floor with lovely...More

The bar on the terrace with one of the best views ever, we often stay here for a drink and a meal, read our books and write up some postcards. Good meals and good wine, see you soon and thanks for the local information.

It's a great shame that this old sugar cane factory couldn't be properly restored & made into a museum. Instead it houses a couple of trinket stores selling ceramics etc. The beautiful stone building is very photogenic, so much more could be made of this...More
