We have felt unwelcome as the old owner, his wife and the dressed in blue maid was rushing us through the visit by walking behind us, telling us to stay with the group and closing doors to our faces. You can only visit this palace if you book a tour in advance at the agent opposite, the tours are conducted by the owner who despite being in his 90's is very sprightly and engaging. The palace is a tour into the past with most of the rooms laid out how they would have been many years ago when the Spanish aristocracy was in its heyday. The collection is extensive, particularly books and documents, and the owner, despite not speaking much English, can explain about some of them. We were very impressed by this tour and would highly recommend it.…

This is a unique landmark in the city, as it´s the only palace in town that is currently inhabited by its owners. So, you have to book your visit in some advance, so they can make up the groups. The façade, which is the original one designed by Valdelvira, is really extraordinary. Indoors, there have been some revamps along the years, but there are still many remarkable elements: the stairs, an exceptional library, antique furniture, and outstanding paintings.…
