A little town in the mountains, a beautiful place to spend at least half a day. One of the most charming I've visited in Spain so far

The town is named for the Hawwara Berber dynasty of the Banu Razin which was their capital from the early eleventh century until it was taken by the Almoravids in 1104.[3] From 1167 to 1300, Albarracín was an independent lordship known as the Sinyoría d'Albarrazín...More

What a great spot - we drove over from Teruel and spent the morning. It was fantastic. We really enjoyed our time there.

You must be able to climb steep hills in order to visit this place. But, it is well worth the work. It is exquisitely beautiful. In addition, it is set into a lovely part of Spain where the air is crisp and clean and quiet....More

Albarracin is just stunning -- maybe the most beautiful village I have ever seen. Situated in the mountains, the medieval houses and establishments were perfectly preserved. Just strolling along its winding streets gives you a feeling you are in a different time.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. In the middle of nowhere, authentic and quiet medieval town.

40 minutes and 37 km drive to the west of Teruel, Albarracin is a fantastic village to see. If you only have the option of going there or Teruel, then I would suggest Albarracin. Whether you have 5 minutes or a few hours, it's worth...More

If you are in the area this is a must see. A breathtaking medieval city built on a hill. Great restaurants and bars.

We stayed in Teruel also, but if you really want to stay in Albarracin then any of the advertised hotels with high ranking is worth staying in, trypadvisor comments are seldom wrong.

I would suggest a train or bus to Teruel. On the advice of locals we took a taxi to Albarracin and the taxi waited to take us back to Teruel, 70 euros. There is a local bus to Albarracin that runs once a day from Teruel... More
