Easily accessible on the east coast of Majorca this remarkable marshland areas teems birds! We visited for a brief visit in March and only accessed most of the hides etc close to information centre itself yet still managed to see a host of species in the various habitats available. Amongst the more exciting sightings were Osprey, Marsh Harrier and two... More

Visited twice during a week's holiday in Puerto Pollensa. A big plus for us was that the reserve is easily accessible by bus. Saw a number of birds which were firsts for us - purple gallinule, red knobbed coot, night heron, cattle egret. Once you've walked the kilometre to the visitor centre most of the hides are not far away... More

It is easy to park and walk back a very short way to the entrance of this area. Then a straight walk of just over a kilometre to the office where you pick up your free admission permit and map showing the different routes. There are two small display areas but we were keen to make the most of the... More

Very easy to find and well worth a visit. Spotted lots of wildlife on way to visitors centre which you should register that you have been in order to get the list of wildlife in area. Easy to follow routes. Great for pushchairs and wheel chairs. Signs say no cycling but there were a few people who ignored that. Take... More

Be prepared for a long walk, which can be challenging in the heat. Take hat and water, and wear sturdy shoes as ground uneven. Accessible to bikes.

Just off the main road to Alcudia, take your binoculars if you are interested in birds. It's free to enter, nice for a change if you have a bird watcher in your family. There are no refreshments available so take some with you, there is a toilet at the visitors centre. Mosquitos can be a problem due to the nature... More

My wife and I were visiting Palma on a cruise ship. I had booked a rental car, to drive to this park, but alas I booked a car for La Palma, not Palma, so we had to take the public bus instead. It was a very cheap ride, but took 1.5 hours each way, so not as much time at... More

Second visit , and we had much longer to walk around the reserve , use more of the viewing hides and raised platforms. Coming from the north of Scotland, we do not have many breeding Warblers ( wee brown burds, that flit away and skulk). This reserve, even in October, holds several species. Using two books as background information and... More

Please make time to visit if you are staying in the area. Beautiful easy paths and lots of hides for both adults and children to discover birds.
