What a fantastic experiance to see the altar in this holy place. Well worth the climb through the narrow streets

Neat to see inside the tallest, highest structure on Cadaques. We rather stumbled into the church. The day was hot, it was quite hot in the church but worth a peek inside. Very ornate for such a hidden gem.

They are all very much the centre of the community’s and Santa Maria is no different. Lovely inside with an impressive alter piece to remind people who’s boss. Views outside down to Cadaques harbour. Nice old cobbled streets.

Inside this church is a beautiful gilded reredos, but apart from that, this is a fairly standard Spanish catholic church with little else to be seen. If you arrive in Cadaques by boat then there is a great view of the church as you approach...More

small, quaint, take a quick look. Go there for the view and not in mid-day where groups of tourists are there.

I knew nothing about this church before we had arrived in town. I guess that I was preoccupied with thoughts of Dali, but this church has Surrealistic elements of it's own...a must see...

Very nice church. There is a special light effect when you walk from the front aisle to the exit door. Look at the Virgin, you will see the lights shining around her head!

We walked around Cadaques and came across this beautiful church that overlooks the town. Did not manage to get inside as it was closed. Beautiful on the outside.

The alter is spectacular, and the view over the bay from the front of the cathedral is really special too. If the gate is locked, drop a Euro in the box on the left and open the gate on the far right.
