This is a really beautiful old village and well worth a visit.I'm sure it can get very crowded during the high season but we were there in September and fortunately there were few tourists around.
There are plenty of bars and restaurants and you will be spoilt for choice.
There is a free carpark just a five minute walk from the centre and there is also a useful tourist information centre.

Really interesting place .. can feel the history at every turn. We visited this lovely venue as part of a TUI cruise excursion. Our tour guide was able to give in depth historical facts.

The village has great gift and craft shops. Watch out for ice cream venue. The village has ample parking. Public toilets

Pals, Peratellada, Ullastsret, Besalu, Albraccin, Miravet, Tossa Del Mar…all these medieval towns were carefully researched and accordingly added up to my planer way before even buying the plane ticket.

Yes Pals, among others can get a little commercial but this is the tourism industry works, if you see an attraction there will soon be a souvenir boutique or a pub, the dynamic of this system is very simple.

Pals was magical, I got a little rain, not a big deal, but this town is beautiful on any weather. If you are out to see Catalonia and hit Girona, Pals should be, logically, next on the route. See my pictures.

If you love quaint or are a history buff then you'll love this medieval village. Its a photographers dream!"
Not crowded in September.
Narrow streets.... sometimes steep. Some boutiques, shops, bars and restaurants. Really quaint. Parking nearby and a tourist "train" for those who find walking a challenge.
Visited several medieval villages in the area and this was one of the nicest.

This is good for a walk round on a day when not too sunny. Nice town and worth a visit. Loads of little shops selling stuff mainly aimed at women (handbags, shoes, clothing, hats etc...). If you like here then also visit Peratallada which I think is better and not far away. Plenty of places to eat in both places

This is a beautifully restored medieval village and is well worth visiting if you are in the area.

Cars, are not allowed into the old village and you have to park down below and walk up to the old centre. The car parking is well signposted and free.

Once in the old centre, the tourist office is in the square. Here, you can pick up a map with a numbered walking route; the route does not take long to complete as the medieval village is very compact.

Don’t forget your camera!

I have been going to pals for years now
first as a couple and for the last 10 years as a family. Every year I make a point of heading to Old pals, usually on my own but sometimes with my family. For the boys there's a really great ice cream shop. Strawberry and vanilla is superb. Whilst they're tucking in I wander up the narrow cobbled path and head towards the church at the top of the village. I have never experienced a more peaceful place anywhere in the world. Its as if all your worries disappear when you walk through the door. I can go to playa de pals without a visit to the old town and I would recommend it to anyone. I'm not overly religious but the place is just beautiful.

Really beautiful medieval village with lots of history. Wish we had more time to explore. Take a walk around the town and have a cappucino in one of the cafes.

Came with my Wife. We weren't expecting such a remarkably well preserved place.

This is just like traveling back in time, and live in Medievel time.

Don't miss it.
