This was my third visit, for the temporary exhibit, of course. This was a nice overview of Monet, Munch, and Hodler, three contemporaries who painted similar scenes. For oldtimer fans there is a large collection of cars dating from about 1900 to about 1930 in the basement. Highlight, however, is the garden with sculptures by, among others, Moore, Rodin, and... There are always high-class exhibitions on view at the Gianadda Foundation. The most recent concerns Munch, Monet and Hodler (the latter is a well-known Swiss painter) and it did not disappoint. There is also a permanent old-timer exhibition on the lower ground floor and an adjacent park with sculptures (Henry Moore & Auguste Rodin, amongst many others). In all, enough... More

I visited the museum/foundation for the first time this weekend and loved it. It is smaller than I expected but what they lack in size is easily made up for in quality. I was there for the Monet, Munch and Hodler expo and was agreeably surprised in the wee thought out manner in which the works were displayed. Outside of... More

Martigny is very lucky to have such an institution in its midst. There are several exhibitions each year. As well as the main exhibition there is a car museum and a secondary exhibition which is usually photograph based.

We visited to see the Picasso exhibition, but there is also a car museum in the basement as well as the opportunity to walk in the gardens and admire the statues. The gardens are open all year round. Sometimes you can find special ticket offers online for advance purchase. Parking is adjacent and free of charge. Recommended!

I loved the old Roman artifacts that had been found in excavations of the city. The gardens with a wide variety of sculpture were quite enjoyable and relaxing.

Happily here and ran into this museum - worth every minute. Old Roman ruins, auto museum and art museum rolled onto one. Plus sculptures and food/coffees out the back. We were pleasantly pleased.
