I always knew about Pocahontas as I lived my life in Gravesend but the children have a genuine interested because she's a Disney Princess. I wouldn't say its a day out but the gardens of the church are always well kept and its a beautiful tribute to her.

We pass through here en route to the shops to get whatever we need for the Hotel that night, whilst down visiting family. It's a cracking statue in a lovely, almost hidden Churchyard. 7 years ago on my first trip there and I didn't even know Pocahontas had a historical link to the town! Was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, the... More

An amazing view so do take a camera! A lot of history to take in from one statue. Defiantly worth seeing if you are interested.

Nice to have in An otherwise dreary place. Still find it odd that she is there. Not much to say other than it's a nice statue. There's no plaque to go with it though which would of been. I've to give some background to her story.

We live. In Gravesend and are proud of our Heritage. The statue of Pocahontas ( a gift from the USA) is a landmark in the Town, and well worth a visit. You can then take a walk along the river past the Tudor Harbour to the Medieval Chantry in the Fort Gardens where General Gordon was before he went to... More

I get to say hi to Pocahontas on most days but 2017 will see a climax of events in March in celebration of links to Virginia USA with 400 years on from Pocahontas’s death. A lovely statue set in the gardens of St Georges church.

The Statue is not really in a nice area it was in the winter so the park area looked very bare and run down - apart from the statue not much else to see to be honest.
