As a long time fisherman and licenced tour boat operator, Capt. Dave is well equipped to give you an unforgettable experience on the water. Whether to experience the majestic icebergs as they make their way south; catch a cod ; help Capt. Dave haul his lobster pots, or see the giant humpbacks breach as they feed on schools of caplin, Capt. Dave has the knowledge and experience to make your trip an adventure to treasure for years to come. As a certified tour boat captain, David specializes in small group, personalized tours to view the magnificent icebergs that often frequent the main tickle just off from his fishing interpretation centre, Prime Berth. In addition to iceberg tours, David will take you to explore the rugged coastline of Main Tickle, and view the thousands of nesting birds on the Baccy Islands, on your way to Gut Tickle and through the Salt Hr. Canal to the picturesque fishing village of Herring Neck. Your view of the fishing stages from the water will be a highlight of your Newfoundland & Twillingate vacation. In addition David can take you to the little fishing village of Tizzard's Harbour, his hometown, where he has set his lobster trap since the age of six. From May to October you could also fish for cod during your tour!!!

Was recommended Captain Dave's tour by the owner of our vacation rental. My mom and I really enjoyed the tour, and even did a bit of fishing. Would highly recommend the tour if you're in the Twillingate area.

We visited Twillingate and strolled into capt Daves on the way in. There were no tours scheduled that day but they were nice enough to offer us a unique mini tour just for us, because they knew we wanted to get out on the water....More

Loved our tour with Captain Dave. He was so knowledgeable about Twillinggate, NFld, fishing, icebergs, etc, etc.. I laughed the whole time and would recommend anyone to try to spend sometime on a boat with him.

What is the " best" boat tour is different for different folks, so I would never say my tour is better than any other boat tour, but we do try and do as many things as possible. Of course our fast boats means we get...More

I had contacted some other larger operators for a tour and never heard back. Stopped at the gift shop and kind of ignored the sign because it looked kind of hand made. Wow, would that have been a mistake! Some people were returning from a...More

All the tour boats were iced in in Twillingate so we got ahold of Captain Dave, who is located by the causeway. They dressed us for the cool air, skillfully nudged through some pack ice and took us out to see some bergs. We even...More

We had an awesome experience with Capt. Dave on his iceberg tour. He had to do some tricky manoeuvring thru the sea ice to get us close to the bergs. Dave is a very experienced Captain and we felt very much at ease with him.They...More

Thank you for your kind words. It is true I have spent many years on the sea in this area, but still, one never takes the ocean for granted. Yes, I do remember your tour through the pack ice to get close to the big...More
