A small museum with exhibits pertaining to Trout River A good way to understand the history of the community and the residents way of life. Walking tours (donation basis) are offered. Check the town website for details. The walking tour is another worthwhile way of learning more about Trout River.

The staff were very helpful in providing information about surrounding attractions and hikes! They were very informed in assisting with selecting the ideal hiking trail based on time, weather, and ability. A daily bulletin board at the entrance tells of daily or upcoming local events. The facility itself is quite beautiful and offers a wealth of interesting information about the geography of the region. If you want to simply take a rest from your travels, lounge around in the lovely seating areas, or enjoy the breath taking view from the deck which overlooks the surrounding waters of Woody Point and Norris Point.

We went here after a hike and luckily it was the last "Passing the time" community night at the centre for the summer. Not sure if they will continue doing this night next year, but it was a really great night hearing stories form people in the community, sharing riddles, and of course, hearing traditional music. Really great!

The Interpretation Centre is small but interesting. There was no admission charge but the do ask for donations. It's certainly worth stopping in to learn about the the the town and the fishing industry as you enjoy your walk down the Trout River boardwalk.

The Trout River Interpretation Centre is not very large, but contains a wealth of information on the history of the town, the geology of the area, and on the fishery. Be sure to read about the "ordeal" (it would make a good movie)!

We dropped in to the Tout River Interpretation Center during our visit to the Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland. The information available at this interpretation centre is very good. Added excellent information and insight which contributed greatly to our enjoyment of our time in Gros Morne Park. Well worth the time spent there. Highly recommend it to anyone going to Gros Morne Park.

This is a small museum with photos and artifacts of early Trout River. I would allow 1/2 - 3/4 hour to tour this facility.

A great spot with heritage displays that interpret the area as well as many parts of rural Newfoundland . Every community needs a place like that
