Scenic road that lets you see the entire island. You can travel by car or bicycle through the different towns, sample the local fare, and enjoy the breath-taking views of the St. LAwrence River.

We drove the entire road with our 16 and 13 yr olds after we spent the morning at Montmorency Falls. It was one of the highlights of our week in Canada at the end of July.. We stopped multiple times to buy the BEST strawberries...More

If you really want to see the island then you have to travel Chemin Royal and it won't disappoint. We enjoyed our leisurely drive with some stops along the way. The island should be on everyone's agenda. It's a big change from Quebec City.

My boyfriend and I spent the entire day on this road - from 11 am to 5:30 pm - and that's what I would suggest. Don't do Montmorency Falls and Ile D'Orleans in one day, you'll end up rushing to see everything and won't get...More

We planned on spending the day here and driving around the entire island. We made several stops along the way. It truly was like a drive back in time. The highlight was finding my wife's families home from the 1600s!

This route is about a 20 minute drive from Quebec City. If you do the entire circle route it takes about two hours… Without stops… Which you don't want to do! You can see a lot of interesting things if you go either right or...More

This is a drive that you should take in. You can get a tape cassette at the visitors reception center that will provide a vocal guided tour of the island (French or English). You will motor through seven villages all different and with its own...More
