From Fajardo: Icacos Deserted Island Catamaran & Picnic Cruise

1,014 reviews
Combining activities with lunch and drinks and transport can start to get pretty expensive in Puerto Rico when planning independently. This San Juan cruise saves you money by merging a catamaran cruise with lunch, tropical drink pouches, beach time, and even an optional upgrade for hotel pickup and drop-off.

What an unexpected find! It is being renovated now, it is worth it to see it before it is a tourist attraction. Proper shoes a must---not flip-flops.

The lighthouse itself and the views from the top were worth the hike up. Proper shoes and water is a must. I recommend going early before it gets too hot. It's a shame such a treasure is in such bad shape and cannot be maintained. Go cool off in the "Jacuzzis" after the hike down.

Sorry for my other review full of typos. I must have been using my iPhone and half asleep. The whole island is amazing and it's a short walk to the lighthouse with many goats near and at the top and a spectacular view. Obviously, getting to the island, is an outing but fun. Loved the snorkeling and beautiful beaches.

Don't miss this old beautiful building built by the Spanish in the late 1800's. Unfortunately the building is in disrepair and a downright shame not to be taken care of. The walk takes about 15-20 mins and is uphill. it can be hot in the summer so plan accordingly-but remember there is always Playa Tortuga!

Hike up and finding trail was extremely long and hot as we were just let off the boat - given a few directions and left to our own devices... Its a dry arid island - lots of cactus - lots of dry rocks and lots of lizards... the lighthouse itself is kind of sad, especially after the effort and time to get there. I would have gladly spent the time enjoying a drink, wonderful jamon and cheese sandwhich while floating in the warm carribean waters and enjoying the coastal view... but thats just me.
