Lovely soft sand. Was quite windy a occasion and had a shelf type entry to the sea so not for the faint hearted!

A lovely beach where you can walk all the way along the foreshore to Waterman's Bay and further. The beaches along the way are delightful and great for swimming, especially Mettam's Pool.

The beach is lovely and easily accessed. With the current construction work it is a little trickier. It was a lovely clean beach.

Lawn area and amphitheatre (shaded) to sit if you don't want to sit on the sand. Great to swim or to just relax watching the surfers.

Grew up here on this beach and now reside in the Eastern States, but I don't think I'll ever find a beach to match the magnificence of this one. The long white sandy beaches and clear ocean, no rubbish and everyone enjoying it in their...More

A wonderful stunning beach. At one end is Hillarys - a lovely place to visit for a coffee or some shopping.

But until then it's going to be one big building site! There's a one way traffic flow in place and there's no problem finding a parking space - the problem is finding a beach access route - there's one off the roundabout by the clock...More

Is the sea too rough for kids to play and swim in as I've heard it's a surfers beach with lots of rip tides.

We stayed right across from the beach and there were plenty of children swimming there. Best time was in morning before midday as the wind seemed to be breezy late in the afternoon. Most days we were there it was pretty... More

It's wild! Scarborough has great waves, but is also a place where most of us who grew up here got 'dumped' dozens of times. There's an infamous 'rip' that can carry even strong swimmers a long way, so it's important to... More
