The first Winery you come to on State Highway 53 as you enter Martinborough. Look for the white gates on your left. We offer tastings and sales 7 days a week. In Summer, our Chef prepares beautiful fresh platters and lunch offerings to match with our wines. Enjoy a glass or two and friendly game of Petanque in the sun.

Palliser Estate was our first stop on a wine tasting tour of Martinborough. It has earlier opening hours than most of the other wineries so is a good starting location. Wines received good feedback from our group as did the beautiful location. Cellar Door staff...More

Palliser Estates Winery was our first wine tasting stop in the Martinborough region. Visually, the place looks nice but the wine tasting room itself was a bit loud (poor acoustics) which made it difficult to hear what the wine person said. The wines were ok....More

A really beautiful setting under the trees - a nice place to drink wine and have a platter. I would have liked to stay longer.

Thanks for the lovely review Carlos. Make sure you come back in Summer for our delicious lunch platters and a game of Petanque.

Palliser Estate was my first port of call on an autumn Friday in Martinborough. Focused on whites and bought the Pinot Gris which is delicious. Attentive and friendly service and the wine is served in real glasses, not those nasty little plastic thimbles.

This was our first stop of the wineries we went to and it was my favourite. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I'm not a huge wine drinker but I loved the Riesling here and bought a bottle. I loved the atmosphere and service...More

The staff here made the wine tasting awesome, she was so good to talk to, I don't even drink wine, but this was great, I even brought a bottle of sweet white wine.

This was the last visit on our day of wine tasting. The Estate wines were very nice - a number of bottles were bought. The tasting itself lacked really any information about the estate, the history or the area - felt like just a drinking...More

Beautiful setting and excellent wine. Try the rose! The Sauvignon Blanc is exceptional. The Chardonnay excellent and the dry Riesling perfectly balanced. I loved the Pinot Noir too. Couldn't fault any of the wines. The two lovely ladies who took me through the wines were...More

Don't touch this, no sit there, don't don't don't. I love it when our kids, watching an iPad on a chair outside are castigated by frustrated hosts. They wonder why their grandkids don't visit. It was this back drop for the wine tasting. The late...More
