This was our first hike to the Cascades and it didn’t disappoint! It’s a 4 mile round trip hike and is not that bad just break and pace yourself. We took the more well groomed trail due to possible ice. You can still get great...More

Beautiful hike that is worth the work. Lower temperature by the shady creek made for a more comfortable climb. Everyone should experience this once!

Always love visiting the beautiful cascades falls in Giles County! Great for a day trip and a must when visiting Giles.

A fun hike. Not too long, not too short. Great natural waterfall to see. The weather was great that day so that's a plus. I recommend a walking stick for some parts of the trail.

If one is not used to rough terrain take the upper path. The scenery may not be as spectacular but the footing is more groomed. The lower path closely follows the stream over roaks, stone steps and tree roots. Extremely lovely but takes more effort....More

Perfect hike! Scenic, beautiful paths/bridges, a little challenging, beautiful waterfall and only two hours roundtrip. Seems appropriate for all ages, as long as you can handle moderately challenging hiking and inclines/declines. Don't cross the bridge and stay to the left if you want the easier...More

This was a beautiful hike, definitely worth walking. A few things to note, the $3 parking must be exact and dropped in a envelope, there is no one to give change for larger bills. There are 2 trails that lead to the falls, a more...More

Renowned for their picturesque character, the walk op to the Cascade is worth the effort. One benefit is the walk in is up hill and if using the lower path a little uneven under foot however the proximity to the river makes up for it....More

Short Hiking Trail with a wonderful cascading waterfall at the end. Definitely bring comfortable clothing and shoes for a hike. Also bring water and snacks or lunch with you on the trail. It is about 2 miles from the parking lot to the waterfall, however...More

... prettiest hike in Virginia!! One of the best times to see it is in the winter when the falls start to freeze. AND, don't climb the falls. Be nice to the local rescue squad.

It's about 2 miles but it's winding, uphill and slow going for us due to uneven ground. Of course we stopped to take lots of pictures.

The beginning of the "upper" trail might work but not all the way to the falls. We came across someone pushing a stroller with much difficulty. I would NOT suggest it.

Sorry for the delay. The research I found would indicate No. You can be on the A.T in Giles county near Pearisburg but not from the cascades.
