We stopped by on October 16th and were advised by the gentleman handing out the buckets that the selection of apples was "slim". Let's just say this was an understatement. The trees were bare, the apples on the ground were rotting and even the ones for sale looked atrocious. I'd been to this orchard before and even though not the... More

Great place to pick your own fruit in season (check the website or the sign out front). Buckets are provided, or you can take your own container and they'll weigh it before you pick. The cherries are fantastic and the yellow peaches are quite nice.

Took our young grandchildren apple picking. After a long, long trek through the orchard we discovered that fruit was entirely gone except for a few pieces that were completely out of reach. Very disappointing to the little ones. A cautionary warning at the start would have been helpful. We won't go back.

Their apples are covered in a clay to protect them from insects. The apples we harvested were pulpy and dry and not fit for straight eating. The price was higher than usual so, although I live near this farm, I would not go back.

While in wine country, we wanted to find a non alcohol related activity to do with a baby. This was a fantastic choice. The owners of the orchard were extremely helpful and pointed us in the direction of the best fruit. We were able to pick apples, peaches, and blackberries. Low prices, friendly people, and a beautiful orchard.

We decided to go for some peach-picking this summer and chanced upon this orchard. To our surprise, there was even apples, blackberries & plums. It was very fun, and I think we pluck a little of everything. I thought we will be slapped a large bill but nahhhhh... Fruits are cheap and good and all freshly-plucked by us. Friendly owner.... Crooked Run is a fantastic family run orchard in the heart of downtown Purcellville. They offer PYO fruit of all varieties, (peaches, plums, blackberries, strawberries, etc.) but my personal favorite are the apples! From Jonagold to Mutsu to Golden Delicious, they have it all. This orchard makes for a fun afternoon adventure. If you have small children, be aware that... More

We've been here two years for peach picking. Easy to get to and great fruit. Mom and pop owners. Great prices, great selection.
