Visited on 8/24. It was first stop on plan of hitting 3 wineries. Needless to say, we only made it to two. This place was awesome.
The tasting room is small but quaint. The wine server Debbie was friendly and knowledgeable. We spent some time...More
This is the northernmost winery in Virginia. The wines are some of the best in Virginia. The venue is different - not fancy, pretty funky. What it lacks in high-end ambiance it makes up for with really good wine. Service was also terrific.
This place is so relaxed and very dog friendly. You can grab some wine and sit around one of their ponds or under a covered seating area-dogs get to run around the expansive grounds. The actual tasting room is in a "cave". And dogs are...More
It was a very enjoyable Sunday afternoon, partaking of Maggie's lovely wine selections - including wine pairings with wonderful warm French bread and various delicious cheeses. Definitely recommend you treat yourself to this special vineyard experience.
This is perhaps the most dog friendly winery I’ve visited. Not only do they welcome dogs off the leash, but there are many ponds in which the dogs can swim. The day we visited, there was a “Dock Dog” practice. This is a competition in...More
Beautiful property and very friendly staff. The tasting room makes you feel like you are walking into a bunker. The owner was very welcoming. He told us about the area, the vines, the property, how his wife became a winemaker, and their plans for expansion....More
We arrived to what looked like a Quonset hut buried against a hillside with grass growing over the top. Unless you have been to Napa, you can’t really appreciate how smart this idea is. Inside we were greeted by Lisa, who was just finishing up...More
The winery is a scenic stop for wines. It's better for your eyes than your palette. Their whites are better than their reds. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. There was a Labrador jumping competition ongoing, and the dogs were friendly and made the visit...More
This was our 3rd and final stop. The inside is different than the other 2 wineries but the outside grounds were very similar. Friendly people and we liked the wine; especially the whites. The reds were ok and didn't have tannins but weren't as fruit...More
