We had a great time at the Caverns. The rock and mineral shop in the gift shop had many things my rock loving children liked. The cavern tour is beautiful and our tour guide, Preston was great and full of information about the cave. Besides the beautiful rock formations we also saw a few bats inside and learned about the... The price for full hookups was reasonable. The drawbacks are uneven dirt pads, half the park has permanent residents that come and go late, after 11pm and leave early, before 7am. Couple that with the noise from the interstate, right next to the park, not a peaceful evening. I would pass this one up.

oh where to start all the employees were genuinely kind and really made you feel at home. the gift shop is enormous and full of nifty things. They have a penny press for those of you who collect elongated or smashed pennies. that was in fact how we found them in the first place. the cave itself is gorgeous. there... More

There is a nice gift shop here with lots to choose from and also an antique store. We did not tour the caverns but we did enjoy the gift shop and antiques store.

We were in Virginia to take my daughter and a friend to the college for the weekend at liberty university. I had three other teens to keep occupied, so took one day and went to Dixie caverns and they all really enjoyed it.

Very enjoyable tour of the caves. Some good formations and it was easy to see and hear everything as we were a small group. Helpful and friendly guide.

We were on the first tour of the day. Our guide, Tyler, was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and had a great personality. This is definitely worth the trip if you are in the area.

We stayed at the campground, so the cave was a plus. Pretty formations. Worth the price of admission. Lots of stairs, so you don't need a jacket.

We called ahead for overnight stop. The guy on the phone was super helpful. They were concerned with credit card safety and would not take it over phone. Put me down for a site and told me to pay when I came in.
