I run here from Aquia Harbor. Very secluded, nice trail. Also a great short trip for small kids. There are painted rocks hidden in the park kids can look for and hide in a different spot. Very quirky & fun for the kids.

We often visit Government Island, and enjoy it always. There are nice boardwalks, and clear hiking trails. We even saw an eagle! Is is not very long, and a fun, easy trek for families. Highly recommended!

We decided to have a family get away for the day. We had a wonderful view and a calming environment. It was not crowded nor noisy. We were able to enjoy and admire the fantastic view.would return again.
