Very nice gentleman helped us with parking, walking and some history. Start here. The downtown is very nice, many cute shops. An actual model kit store with huge inventory. My husband was thrilled.

The Visitor Center offers much information on what to do and see. Street Maps were provided to highlight areas of interest. Really felt the pride and excitement from the guest service agent that Staunton is awesome.

The visitors center has lots of information for area attractions as well as a place to sit down and restrooms. Gloria was very helpful and gave us a great tip about taking the trolley for 25 cents.

You can easily tour both buildings in 3 hours. The house (his birthplace) gives a great guided tour that lasts about an hour. The library (museum) you do at your leisure so you really spend just as much time as you like.
