A visit to the birthplace (next door) is not complete without viewing Wilson's Presidential Library. When compared to others, it's somewhat small. However, it packs in many interesting exhibits. Don't miss the WWI trench experience. A visit in April 2017 was especially interesting given the US declared war on Germany 100 years ago on April 6, 1917.

It was the only site I had yet to visit in Staunton so I took the opportunity to see the place. It was very amazing. The tour guide was very excellent and informative. It is a must see.

The facility is pretty much as was in the day that Wilson was there. Explanations are very good, giving an understandable look at how things worked. For any student of history, this is a great site, filling in the blanks with excellent detail. Recommend it to all.

Take the guided tour through this place. It's two small buildings--his childhood home and the museum. You can see his pierce arrow car as well. Well worth it.

This is really a several building complex. The library is for research, but the museum and home of Wilson are on to the public. Texas museum is self guided, the home is by guided tour only. The staff here is most friendly and went out of their way to obtain information for us. The tour guide was most knowledgeable, as... More

We watched the video about president Woodrow Wilson and then went on the guided tour of his childhood home. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and was more than willing to answer questions on our hour long tour. The video was really interesting- including facts we werent aware of learming from a textbook many years ago....and of course the Pierce-Arrow was... More

How many Presidential libraries have you visited? Carter, Reagan, Eisenhower, Johnson. I also was very impressed with the George C. Marshall Library. Likewise the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library in Staunton, Virginia. After years driving past Staunton on I-81 while going from Washington, Virginia, to Lexington, Virginia, and the Shenandoah Valley, my wife and I finally decided to visit Staunton and... More

Had some trouble locating the library since Mapquest did not take us to the correct address. We actually had to go several miles further down the road. There is limited street parking but there is a parking lot behind the library. But be warned, there are lots of steps from the parking lot to the libarary. The staff is warm,... More

This Presidential Library was one of the first established by the US Government. It presents highlights of Wilson's life and presidency. The recreation of WWI trenches is done particularly well. A chronology of Wilson's professional life before, during and after his presidency is also presented.
