I grew up going to the Augusta County Library in Fishersville. But when I finally went to the the Staunton Library as an adult, it is GORGEOUS inside and out. I love their selections and atmosphere. I would rate this much higher than the ACL...More

This community Library is really full of materials on all of its 3 floors....lots of books, periodicals, and huge children's section in the basement. Special reading events for pre-schoolers and a welcoming staff make this a favorite place for our grandchidren to visit regularly. What...More

You know you use the library a lot when the staff doesn't even ask your name anymore when you go in to pick up your books on hold. :) A nice variety of books and movies. The staff is always willing to help and very...More

Staff is excellent, access to books excellent, and now a card holder can access movies and shows online through their system. One couldn't ask for more.

Books are old and dilapidated, reeking of cigarette smoke and filthy with food. Workers rude, standing behind you gossiping when you're trying to read newspaper archives on microfilm. I was taught to be quiet in the library and it was not a place for gabbing...More

Quite small but seems well used by locals. We spent some time there as we were waiting for the visitor's trolley to come to the pick up location. One thing of perhaps unusual interest is that at the pick up location there is an auto...More

When I moved to Staunton I didn't have cable or internet. You don't realize how much you become dependent on it until it is not available. The Staunton Library gave me access to internet to conduct business in a cozy environment. Also, my son and...More

I don't live in Staunton, but I make a special trip to the Staunton Library in April and October for their book sale. It is the best-organized, best-stocked and friendliest library book sale in the area. Books are arranged in alphabetical order, and volunteers are...More
