We did the Burke's Garden hike from 623 to the Big Walker motel and this place has some amazing home cooking. We had breakfast there and it is the happening place in Tazewell. Bubba is a great driver for the area.

Magical place, great scenery. Some of the most beautiful farms you have ever seen. Note: Store is closed, probably for good. Bring a picnic with you. Store at bottom of mountain does not have hot food.

Take Exit #5 toward Tazewell. Stay on that road until first stop light, turn left and follow Rt. 61, passing hospital and YMCA. Stay on Rt.61 for several miles, turn right on Rt. 623 crossing mountain road to Burkes Garden.
