A look at the past of coastal rescues.

Was enjoyable and educational and the gentleman who gave the tour was very good. Some displays were hands on and photos of the past help convey the story the rescue men in row... read more

I didn't find anything interesting about this place! If you like to read lots of facts on placards next to exhibits you might like it. There is an admission fee which, since it was Veteran's Day, we did not have to pay. I would have hated to pay to see something so boring. The fact that this is an old... More

We stumbled across this jusy walking the boardwalk and thought it would offer some great coast guard history, yes it did have some interesting artifacts and pictures i was highly offended by the admission prices and gift shop prices were way way to overpriced. I honestly felt like you got way more history on the streets for free with the... More

On our walk today we passed by the old coast guard station as we had before. But this time decided to go in and take the tour....What a wealth of information of the early coast guard, its equipment, rescue procedures, life of the staff and so many numerous tidbits. The museum is well done with photos and memorabilia to give... More

It was nice to learn so much history taking this tour, and we got see walk around a little to different locations. I would recommend this tour (you don't have to believe everything). Maybe a little boring for a teenager.

While walking along the Boardwalk, we decided to stop in. It was free that day. Nice exhibits on the Coast Guard and the rescue services they perform. Nothing special, but it was worth the stop.

We were walking down the boardwalk and decided to go into the Old Coast Guard Station. It was very interesting with good displays. It had a lot of artifacts and a good amount of information. A must see if you find yourself walking down the boardwalk.

After taking a walk along the ocean we wanted to visit this museum which is right on the beach. The station had been moved to this location as the Boardwalk was developed. They have a nice gift shop and their is a guided tour on the first floor. Very interesting. The second floor is a self-guided tour. Great information about... More

It was a rainy day and we wanted to take in some history and indoor activities. Stopped by this Guard Station. The sign said it was open 24/7, but it was closed without explanation.

This facility provided an informative review of Coast Guard history, particularly its earlier years. There is also a gift store with Coast Guard memorabilia. Admission fees are reasonable. Additional interactive exhibits would improve the tour.
