This is a beautiful and peaceful place where you'll see Spanish Moss dropping from trees, and hear birds, and enjoy fabulous views of water framed by trees, and paths where you can run on soft ground.

We stayed the first week of July this year. This park has so much to offer. It has some of the prettiest camp sites I've ever seen. We had one that backed up right into the dunes of the Chesapeake Bay. There are also many...More

What a great place for a hike,a bike or a kayak. Just take a hike through the forest or jog on the road that starts at 64th Ave. There is some excellent speckled trout fishing and a boat ramp.

This state park is an oasis where one can escape the commercialism of the Virginia Beach "strip" to the south and have hours of peace and beauty, walking the different trails within its boundaries. Almost too loved, dogs on leads, bicyclists, and walkers are always...More

There is simply nothing like this park from NY to FL. Totally pristine forest and beaches. Not a place for swimming. Just being there is being in another place. If you go, bring your food and drinks (pack them out) and be prepared for long,...More
