We have been here several times with our grandchildren and family. It is a short walk from the parking lot and a gentle beach on the bay with limited waves so the kids enjoy and great for paddle boarding. There is an area for snacks...More

I did eight miles of two trails with my boy scouts for their rank advancement. There was a lot of scenery and it is a worthwhile place despite the admission fee.

This is a beautiful and peaceful place where you'll see Spanish Moss dropping from trees, and hear birds, and enjoy fabulous views of water framed by trees, and paths where you can run on soft ground.

We stayed the first week of July this year. This park has so much to offer. It has some of the prettiest camp sites I've ever seen. We had one that backed up right into the dunes of the Chesapeake Bay. There are also many...More

What a great place for a hike,a bike or a kayak. Just take a hike through the forest or jog on the road that starts at 64th Ave. There is some excellent speckled trout fishing and a boat ramp.

We hiked the Bald Cypress Trail. It's not very long, but packed with great sights. The day we were there it was cloudy and cool so there were no bugs to contend with. The sights are interesting by themselves and coupled with the trail guide,...More

First Landing is one of the more enjoyable campgrounds that I have been to. With easy access to the Bay where the water is calmer and a bit more kid friendly, as well as being with a short distance of Virginia Beach, you get the...More
